About Grace Village

Located in Winona Lake, Indiana, Grace Village was originally founded as a place for Grace Brethren pastors to retire. It has grown and changed to be a Christian retirement community open to everyone of any faith background and practice.

Incorporated in 1974, Grace Village is licensed by the Indiana State Department of Health and has been certified by the United States government as both a Medicare and Medicaid provider.

Grace Village is proud to be the home of residents from across the country and around the world. Many of our residents are former missionaries who served overseas and have returned to the United States to retire.

Some of our residents say they feel like they’re back in their college days again because they attended nearby Grace College with many of their neighbors. It can often feel like a reunion on our campus!

One of our residents from California had told a former Sunday School student that her dream was to move to Grace Village and live there someday when she retired.

That student (who is now 65) connected with other students she had taught to help move their former teacher to Grace Village, including decorating her apartment. She now lives in one of our independent living apartments and is a wonderful addition to our community.

Grace Village has a wide variety of living options for those aged 55 and older. Whether you want to live independently in one of our condos or apartments or need more assistance by residing in our licensed assisted living facility, we’re here to make you feel at home.

Our assisted living has professional staff available 24/7 for our residents who can communicate with physicians, administer medication, and take orders. We also have a certified dietician on staff who reviews all menus to ensure everyone living at Grace Village has access to the nutrition they need and enjoy.
